Not been any updates for a while, but heres a big bomb of photos. The kittens are looking a lot less innocent and kitten-y and a lot more like little cats. Theyre playing well (Stalking, hunting each other etc) and like playing with toys now. They slept in our room last night and sensed that i woke up and started causing hell :( theyre so naughty heh.

Just had an enquiry for Amelia, just as I was about to take a load of photos of her and place some ads. Funny how that works heh. Did day 2 of the worming today - now with added hyperdermic syringes which made it much much easier although Light took a severe dislike to it misty & amelia were a lot better behaved.

My hosting is down at the moment so no new pictures just yet :(

Some new things came in the post today. 2 digital thermometers - one which is a table top style one so I can always know the temperature in the kitten room when I go in, and one wall mounted for my room which has an external sensor. I've mounted this next to my window so I can see how the temperature is in my room as well as outside, which is useful in knowing if ill need to add additional heating on really cold nights or turn the moonshell off in hot summer. Also a cat-hat i bought off E-Bay. Its pink, has hear holes and rabbit -style floppy ears. I put it on pepper where it stayed for about 0.5 seconds but he looked so cute haha! its a christmas present for tessa but I get the feeling that neither she or pepper will be happy with that situation. I'll have to be quick with the camera!

Little Misty, what a cutie. All kits are now fully able to climb out of the kittening room (so up two steps) which is disastrous! its a nightmare trying to get the door shut after a play/feeding time etc!!

Theres a ton more pictures uploaded to the gallery that I just took during play/washtime. just go to http://www.glitterfrost-bengals.co.uk and click photographs and itll take you to the gallery

Week 5 day 2

So Amelia is running around as if nothing ever happened which is good on one side as i dont have to worry about her, but its bad as now I'm back to having 3 little girls that love to take running jumps at me whenever I do in the room! argh.

:D

Panic over! vet said that she had probably just took a knock while playing, and gave her an anti-inflammatory injection and said to keep an eye on her but she should be fine.

She saw her first dog in the waiting room and turned into a sticklebrush :)

Week 5 day 1

I have a vet appointment at 5PM as Amelia is limping slightly on one of her legs, I dont think its broken as she can still climb the cat tree but I dont want to leave anything to chance. Im bracing myself for a massive vet bill mind as broken leg is anywhere frm £400-£1000+.

I can only hope shes sprained it slightly or something, but we'll see later on. She's still eating fine and playing etc.

The kittens are slowly getting the hang of weaning, and taking moms milk a little less and taking kitten glop a little more. Ive taken jan (Wildheart Bengals) advice and will get some turkey mince shortly as apparently this is healthier for kittens than kitten food (pure meat, no ash etc) and theyll more readily take it than kitten food. For now though, everyones happy with a bit o'glop!

Crossing fingers for little amelia x

Entering Week 5

The kittens are 5 weeks old on friday, its amazing how time has flown by. Theyre feeling a lot less "delicate" now (Ill never forget how small and weak they felt when i first picked them up!) Theyre now much more sure footed than when they first started walking, and are thoroughly enjoying running around the room. We had the door open while we watched some shows last night and Little Misty managed to climb both steps and get into our room! Tessa was having none of that though haha. Shining Light has enhanced her climbing skills and can now climb up a leg to waist height which is pretty impressive!

The snows eyes seem to be losing a bit of their "baby blue" and taking on a truer blue hue now. Anyways, more investment! I bought a C20 auto feeder which will allow me to give the cats a small meal in the middle of the night if needs be although not really a concern for this litter, I was more thinking ahead of a larger litter in the future. Also today the worming solution came and ive bought 20 needle-less hyperdermic syringes off Ebay so as I can measure out the exact right dosage. Still to come theres always vet fees, vaccinations, registration fees, cost of forms etc...so much money haha! But all you have to do is sit with the kits for 5 minutes and its all totally worth it.

Today Shining Light learnt what water does to paws and sat in tessa's litter box for a while.

This coming weekend ill go to the fabric store and pick up some plain cloth backgrounds so as I can get some nice pictures of all the kittens without food bowls, boxes, wallpaper etc all on show :)

Boo!

Theyve learned to run now and are making full use of it. Light is a climber and wont stop climbing up my leg and my tshirt. Amelia seems to enjoy chewing the side of the moonshell and Misty began stalking the cat scratcing tree's dangling mice. theyre having some cute playfights too. nearly time to begin weaning them onto kittenfood, tessa will be glad of it as she looked quite thin today so im going to get her some chicken breast and some cat milk for some extra nutrients
